KC Hutchinson
Program Director
An Auburn University graduate in Elementary Education, KC Hutchinson moved to Memphis and joined The Exceptional Foundation of West Tennessee in December 2008. She has a passion for exceptional people as she grew up around The Exceptional Foundation in Birmingham, Alabama, her hometown. KC is our Program Director, running our programs, volunteers, special events, and more.
Working at Camp DeSoto in Mentone, Alabama during her summers while in college gave her a passion for children and helped her pursue her education degree. She interned at Cary Woods Elementary School in Auburn, Alabama while also volunteering at a therapeutic riding facility for special needs individuals, Storybook Farm.
The most rewarding aspect of her job is helping participants reach and exceed their potential of a greater quality of life. She is passionate about creating a safe and caring environment for our participants to excel in social and recreational activities, and for them to have an amazing experience while at The Foundation.

Claire White

After graduating from Rhodes College in May of 2009, Claire White joined the Exceptional Foundation of West Tennessee that summer. She graduated with a major in Psychology and a minor in Religious Studies. She is originally from Natchez, MS.
Claire began her experience with the exceptional population in the summer of 2003 when she began staffing sessions for the mentally and physically disabled at Camp Bratton Green in Canton, MS. While at Rhodes, Claire interned at the Baddour Center in Senatobia, MS, a recreational, social and vocational live-in facility for adults with mental and developmental disorders. The most rewarding aspect of working with this population for Claire is when the individuals notice the power, knowledge and inspiration that they each posses.
When she is not at the Exceptional Foundation, Claire serves as a youth minister for St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Southaven, MS.
