Participants at The Exceptional Foundation of West Tennessee must meet the following criteria:

  • Ages 5 and up
  • Have independent self help skills (ie: toileting, feeding without assistance)
  • Be able to follow simple commands and participate in activities with minimum assistance from staff
  • Have established social maturity to the degree that they are able to interact appropriately with program participants
  • The physical, cognitive, and medical need of the participants must be such that they do not require one-on-one assistance or exceed the established participant/adult ratio.
  • There will be a 30 day evaluation period to determine if our program can adequately address the needs of the participant

How to enroll?

Contact KC Hutchinson, Program Director, at KC Hutchinson or 901.387.5002 to schedule a tour. Each tour takes approximately 45 minutes. During the tour, we will explain our program to you in detail as you see first-hand what we have to offer by touring our 10,000 sq. ft. facility. You will also have the chance to meet our staff members and other participants at the Foundation as programming is taking place.

During the second half of your tour, paperwork can be filled out to complete the participant's membership to the Foundation. Program fees are different for everyone, depending on what programs and services you are participating in. There is a $100.00 annual registration fee for every participant of The Exceptional Foundation of West Tennessee.

Below are a variety of different programs that we offer:

  • Day Program- (full day, 8:00-6:00 p.m.  Monday-Thursday)
  • Day Program- (half day, 8:00-1:00 p.m.  or 1:00-6:00 p.m.  Monday-Thursday)
  • After School Program- (2:30-6:00 p.m.  Monday-Thursday)
  • Weekend Events- (6:00-9:00 p.m.  one Friday and one Saturday of each month)
  • Summer Camp (8:00-6:00 p.m.  Monday-Friday)
